Camden High School Teacher of the Year Wins District Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to the Camden City Public School District's Teacher of the Year...Mr. Shareef Daaliya. Mr. Daaliya, Camden High School's Teacher of the Year, received the news during the April 27th board meeting.
Virtual Credit Recovery Program
Need to get extra help to make sure you pass that class? Come to the Virtual Credit Recovery Program in the Research Lab (Annex Media Center). Classes are held every Monday thru Thursday from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. and on Saturdays from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm. See Ms. Gibbs-Smith or your guidance counselor for more information.

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment held on April 22. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-Wisconsin) as an environmental teach-in and is celebrated in many countries every year. The first Earth Day was in 1970. Earth Day is in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

Tea Committee VIP Dress Barn Party a Success
As part of our Women's Day Celebration, over twenty people attended the CHS Tea Committee VIP Dress Barn Party held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Ellisberg Circle Dress Barn store. There was plenty of good food, good company, good music and....great shopping.

Brittany wins the Wal-Mart Essay Contest
Congratulations to Brittany who took first place in the Wal-Mart Essay Contest. Her essay titled, "The Importance of Helping the Community" was selected from many essays sent in from various schools in South Jersey. The contest was sponsored by Junior Achievement.

CHS Teacher of the Year: Shareef Daaliya
Congratulations to Mr. Shareef Daaliya the 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year for Camden High School. Mr. Daaliya teaches computer programming, chairs the Business Department and is also the lead teacher for the Business/Vocational Academy. When not in the classroom, he Chairs the School Leadership Council, heads the budget committee, and facilitates the Academy Grant Programs and committees. Congratulations also to Ms. Francine Keepler who is the first-runner up.
